| Bio: | I'm Katherine Mae and I suffer from inconsistency on a regular basis, but I love every second of it. I am the master of conversation tangents and I like to think I know where I'm going in life, but really I haven't a clue. There are hundreds of things I'd love to do, but there are thousands of things I probably won't do. I spend my days over analyzing situations, people, and even inanimate objects. My hair is this everchanging mass of colors and it really is a passion. I love to smile, I like to think I have a nice smile, in fact, but you won't always catch me smiling. I like to say that I love everyone and everything until they give me a reason to hate them because you should always give people a chance--yes, they might not always give you a fair opportunity at expressing yourself, and yes your mind may subconsciously judge a person, but it's a tendency we can fight. You don't know a person until you sit down with them and have a decent conversation, but how many times can we say we've taken the time to do it? I wish people would open their eyes sometimes and stop putting a veil over the truth; if we didn't sugarcoat situations so much, we'd all be better off, just remember, you can't hide from problems forever and that there are other viewpoints than your own. I firmly believe that we all have the potential to be great, but many of us prefer to hold it at gunpoint while it is pinned to the ground; it is nearly impossible to believe in yourself, but when one other person believes in you, it makes it easier. I'm split between whether I'm a pessimist or an optimist and after a great debacle I realized that not only is it easier to be a pessimist, but being an optimist requires a lot of lying and really, I'm just being honest. People need to stop hearing and actually listen to a person sometimes--we really underestimate the power of a real conversation. I appreciate the members of society who actually use their brains and can hold a civilized and thoughtful conversation and do not mold themselves so they can live up to a preposterous societal standard--I love to be amazed and surprised and proven wrong, although I do like to think I'm right all the time. I have a perspective of life, that might actually teach you something, but it's more of an experience, not something I can write about. Talk to me or add me if you feel ever so inclined. |
